TourInsure. Not asked for upon country entry. Just before leaving we were stopped by the police and asked for the insurance. According to the police officer the insurance was not valid because it referred to a list of contact persons that was not in English.

ATMs accepting VISA are widely available, some ATMs accept Maestro as well. We did not manage to use VISA for direct payments, we always got "card declined offline"
Diesel
Expensive: about €1.60 per liter.

Generally good, some parts narrow.

Many roadblocks, but no questioning or issues.
Crime
Two overlanders we met, Patrick and Verena, were attacked and seriously wounded at the popular Fat Monkeys camping in Cape Maclear. They recommend to avoid the camping as there were more issues and security wasn't improved following these incidents.
