Procedure was straigtforward, but took about 45 min. We got 90 days for ourselves and car. SOAT (insurance) can be bought at the border if you don't have one. In the village across the border but before the immigration buildings are money changers.

With all preparations for a suspension of the TIP in place (see here for the process we went through) it took 20 min. to complete customs. However, because Jan hadn't properly been entered in the Immigration computer system after the flight from the Netherlands it too 2.5 hours and a lot of begging to leave.
Carnet
Not needed. TIP upon entry. We suspended the TIP when we traveled to the Netherlands for Christmas. Here you find a description of the procedure.
